Can you identify the movie this image is from?
What basketball team is this movie centered around?
Good luck today!
This week's theme is Basketball. I stated back during the Sports theme week that we would be revisiting each sport individually. In early December 1891, Dr. James Naismith, a Canadian physical education professor from McGill University of Montréal and instructor at YMCA Training School in Springfield, MA, sought a vigorous indoor game to keep his students occupied and at proper levels of fitness during the long New England winters. After rejecting other ideas as either too rough or poorly suited to walled-in gymnasiums, he wrote the basic rules and nailed a peach basket onto a 10-foot elevated track. For more information on this sport, read here.
What benefits would be appropriate to those who enjoy participating weekly for as long as this? See the new Player Rewards section for info.
If you have yet to do so, start thinking about a theme and email email@example.com. I can even help complete partial themes.
More people enjoying this is what makes it fun for me. If there are people you know that aren't yet playing this game, tell them to join in with us at movie_trivia. ^_^
Yesterday's trivia, winners and Player Rewards too...
For fine print details on how the trivia game works, see here.
Basic rules: Leave a comment with your answer to the main question (Name the movie that the image is from) and/or the bonus question. Answers and points are given when the next image is posted.
And now the winners from yesterday's trivia!
egbert, symian and sosaith correctly answered that the movie was The Air Up There.
symian correctly answered the bonus. This movie centered around the Saint Joseph's Bulls.

Upon reaching the 50 point milestone, players are designated as Level Zero Movie Trivia Mages. At 100 points - Level One and at 200 points - Level Two. I have made an "experience card" to attribute the accomplishments. Each of those who have reached enough points to have a card will find it here.
If you'd like to put your card elsewhere on the web, the code for it is:

You may feel free to host it on your own, but it can be convenient to use this link because then when I update the image, you won't have to go and update it yourself.
